Quail hunting at Hearts Bluff Game Ranch offers endless opportunities. In North East Texas, hidden deep in the rolling hills along the Sulphur River, we allow you to hunt with your own dogs or with a guide and dogs provided by us. You can hunt from horseback or afoot under big oak trees, in the open fields, or alongside one of our many lakes. Quail hunting doesn’t get any better. We invite you to enjoy the perfect day of bird hunting.
The different topographies for hunting at the ranch give you a wide choice. If you are the type of hunter that enjoys horses or if you prefer to walk and hunt, it’s up to you. We can also provide Cub Cadet ATVs and dogs so that one dog points and the other honors, we will get you within shooting distance. You make your shot and let the dog retrieve so that you can ride to the next shot.
Hearts Bluff is the perfect place for all your field trial needs. We can release thousands of birds each day and have accommodations suitable for any size group in need of overnight stays. Everything from tent camping space, complete or partial RV hook ups, luxury couples cabins, family style housing, and large-group lodge/bunkhouses are available.
We have facilities and activities for everyone. After a morning hunt, kick back in the lodge and let our chef prepare a gourmet lunch for you. After lunch enjoy catching large bass from one of our many lakes, sharpen your shooting skills at our skeet range, four wheel ride or just relax until the evening hunt.
Non-hunters in your party will enjoy amenities that include hiking, boating, horseback riding, game cooking classes, massage, manicures, pedicures, golf, and gourmet meals.
We are growing fast as a prime destination for quail and duck hunting. More than 3,000 bobwhite quail have been released onto the property, and we spotted our first chicks in late May of 2005. We are seeing great success in our effort to bring back these magnificent birds while most of East Texas has seen a decline in quail in the last few decades. We have prime native vegetation as well as planted and mowed strips maintained especially for these birds. We will supplement birds as needed throughout the season to assure our hunters' success.
