Quail Hunting
Heats Bluff Game Ranch is still at the top of its game! Recently, we have had a few very successful hunting parties come through. Probably the most productive group we have had was a group of three hunters that stayed with us for an entire week at our main lodge. 
During their stay here they did a good bit of hog hunting as well as some fishing here and there. But their main focus was the quail. And let me tell you, they couldn’t get enough of the quail! They even brought their own hunting dogs to make it a little more interesting. By the end of it, they got so much quail that they even asked us to prepare them a meal using some of the quail they had shot.
While they were here, they wanted to experience both of our meal options. Though most of their meals were just simple ranch style meals, they also requested that we do one seven course gourmet meal for them.
Here’s what they had to say about our facilities:
“Wow, what a great place! Our group had so much fun we hated to leave. The staff was wonderful and friendly and the food was fantastic. Our guide, Ronnie, was excellent and meshed well with the personalities in our group. The hog and quail hunting were fabulous and Ronnie was very helpful in giving us information and pointers to ensure succsessful hunts. The weather while we were there was really nice and just perfect for hunting. Can’t wait to go back.”
Trophy deer hunting is great in Northeast Texas
Father and son weekend hunting trip
Stony Davis had the hunt of a life time this weekend and he is only 14 years old! This father and son hunting trip turn into our best trophy deer catch so far this season. We have seen them on the cameras so we knew they were out there but, he is the first of his size to be caught this season.
We have managed our deer so well in recent years that this open range deer scored 164.750 and had 16 countable points and there are more where he came from!
A Hunter’s Dream at Hearts Bluff Game Ranch
Over the past few weekends we have had several successful hunting parties come through.
One group of nine hunters came and stayed at our Main Lodge and enjoyed a weekend of hunting and relaxation. They were a corporate group that brought some of their clients with them. It was all men, young and old alike, spending some time out in beautiful country outside of their normal business relationship. Building their client base while enjoying our ranch. They had daily ranch style meals and guided hunts. The hunting was fantastic that week and the men had a blast! This is what the corporate office had to say about their stay on the ranch:
“We wanted to take the time to thank you for a wonderful time at your ranch. The guys and their customers had a great time. They said the entire experience was wonderful. We truly appreciate your hospitality. We will definitely be visiting you again!”
Another group came in right behind them, this group was a family of fifteen and most of them were seasoned hunters. They spent the weekend at our Main Lodge with a full use package and received three meals a day during their stay and the nine hunters went on several guided hunts and enjoyed spotlighting at night. During their stay at the ranch, though the weather was in the lower forties, the hunting was hot as you can see from the picture to the left! Several of the deer were actually shot by the younger girls in the picture!
The last group spent an entire week on the ranch! They also stayed in our Main Lodge with a full use package they had enjoyed the ranch style meals and the hunting was still superb! They caught a Trophy Buck and a Management Buck as well as a few fun does and a spike not to mention the two coyotes you see in the picture below. It was a party of four with only two hunters this time but the game was excellent! 
Hearts Bluff is a Game Ranch we have more than enough buck, doe hunting, hog hunting and quail hunting to go around! We would love to see you come hone your hunting skills at our open range ranch.
One of the best kept secrets of ranch is our private dining. Our chefs have done everything from gourmet style birthday dinner parties to a ladies luncheon for thirty as well as just ranch style meals for hunters and their families. We do offer, but are not limited to, a preset menu. Our chefs are more than willing to customize any meal to your dining requests based on diet, allergies or just plain personal preference!

Welcome to the Hearts Bluff Ranch blog.
We have started this blog with the purpose of simply to inform our visitors of everything we have going on here at Hearts Bluff Game Ranch.
Our goal is give you weekly samples of what is going on at the ranch. In the end we are certain that you will see that if you are looking for some free range hunting grounds with prime catches we are the ones to visit! We have a wide variety of animals to hunt, our hog and deer population is is top notch this year. We do offer gauntlet hunts that are excellent for Exotic hunts or for beginners or children and their parents. We also have a quail guide with dogs on hand for quail hunting. We believe that our fishing cannot be beat we have bow fishing, Catfish, bass and much more! We also offer some relaxing activities for your wife if she wishes to join you but is not as outdoor oriented as you are. Whether you are looking for a game hunt, fishing, something that is fun for the whole family or maybe a large event we can accommodate you. On top of the excellent hunting opportunities that are available at the ranch during your down time we offer a variety of outdoor activities to our guests. They range from skeet shooting, an archery and rifle range for practice or enjoyment, fishing and four wheeling.
We do believe that our guides are some of the best in the area and they grew up in the area so they know the lay of the land very well and they will do all that they can to assist you on your hunt.
On a side note, if you would like to hunt or fish but maybe you do not have a license yet, you can purchase that here!
While you are here you have several cabins to choose from to fit your need.
Camp House:
Our largest cabin is called the Camp House that is especially good for large groups. It sleeps forty people. It has a male and female side with ten bunk beds on each side as well as separate guy and girl bathrooms. It also includes a pool table, shuffle board table, and a ping pong table. It has a full kitchen as well as front and back porches.
Couples Suite:
Though family time is good, sometimes it is just nice to get away as a couple. Whether you are just married or you have been married 60 years, there is nothing like a serene get away with your better half. We have the perfect cabin for such a time as this. We call it the Couples Suite. It has the best view on possibly the entire ranch. It overlooks a beautiful lake. It is in a secluded are on the ranch so that you will be able to have peace and quiet. We also offer private, gourmet dining in our main lodge for a special night alone.
Executive Lodge:
Even if you are just looking to hunt or fish the whole time, we have something for you too! The Executive Lodge will sleep up to 9 people and has a dinning area, living area and kitchen. It is set next to a beautiful lake and is roomy enough for family or friends.
Fishing Cabin:
If you are just wanting a place to stay and fish we have that too! It is called the Fishing cabin and it contains two bunk beds and a full sized bed. It is the simplest of all our cabins but it is a very quaint place for the fishermen just a few feet off of the lake. Though it does not have a full kitchen, it does however have a microwave, coffee pot, and a refrigerator.
Skeet Suite:
The family cabin is called the Skeet Suite. It has a twin sized day bed and a trundle mattress in the living room and one Queen sized bed in the bedroom. This suite includes a full kitchen, living area, bedroom and bathroom.
Other:
We also have some beautiful camping grounds some even come with covered patios in a beautiful lake setting if you would rather pitch tents for a more outdoors experience (RV sights are also available). In the campgrounds area we have an outdoor kitchen, covered and screened in dining hall and bathrooms with shower facilities.
